Join two of the Bay Area’s most inspiring teachers, Laurie Wagner and Rachel Cole, for this ‘delicious’ day-long writing retreat.
Combining Laurie’s transformative approach to writing, and Rachel’s soul-nourishing wisdom on living life as a well-fed woman, attendees will have an opportunity to sink into the truth about their hungers in a way never before experienced.
Attendees will be invited to share the common and varied journey we take as women, and, through writing and conversation, have a chance to come into greater relationship with their truest hungers.
When we talk about hungers, in the context of this event, we are talking about those things we hunger for at and away from the table. From carbs to creativity, from kale to connection, and from dark chocolate to days of rest — the exploration Laurie and Rachel are leading includes it all.
What are you truly hungry for? What do you deny yourself? What longing do you ignore or grasp for? What are the stories you tell yourself about your hungers? Whose voices run through your head about what you desire? Do you ever have shame about what you desire or just how much you want? What would it feel like to have your truest hungers satiated — really, truly, satiated?
We’ll dive easy and go deep into these questions and more in this luxurious, day-long retreat exploring the truths about our hungers.
Themes to be Explored:
How we name and relate to our hunger
The stories we tell ourselves about what we can and cannot have
The many voices within
The wisdom of the body
Desire, pleasure, and want
You will leave with more clarity and more access to your true hungers. You will feel more freedom to trust your desires and to live the big life you deserve.
